Correction: My family as many others has its own traditions, most of them are Mexican traditions like September 16 and April 30. Although Christmas is not a tradition from Mexico we use to celebrate it in a Mexican way with piñatas, fireworks and we also drink ponche and eat pozole. In fact we have changed the common holiday into a new one for my family. In my family we use to prepare tamales of many flavors like rajas, mole and sweat, I have said we because each of us has a role in the elaboration of these delicious tamales. When the night arrives we eat around the bonfire, yes you have heard right, which is the greatest thing on Christmas, the heat of the fire at the coolest days of the year.
