An inspiring person (Complete)

Since I was a child I liked to play with computers to know everything about them.
When I knew about Bill Gates, who is the owner of Microsoft, I was so fascinated for his company that I decided to be like him. I began to follow his career because of his achievements as a businessman and his works as developer for Microsoft.

When Bill Gates was 13 years old, he earned to program in Basic, which was the most used programming language at that time, but he always continued learning and taking every opportunity that he had that's why he is now the leader of the largest company in the world.
Bill specialized in software development, knowing that he could not begin a company by himself then he met Stephen Ballmer, who became a good friend at University.

Bill Gates, who is recognized as a global leader in technology and philanthropy, began to work in programming since he was 12 years old also continue his studies at Harvard University but when he found out (discover) the way in which he could reach the success, he left the college and started to work as co-founder and president of Microsoft. Microsoft took Apple concept of a Graphic Use Interphase (GUI) and created Windows, this is called the greatest robbery in computational history but some people think that Bill only took this opportunity to get over (overcome a problem) his competence.

Personally I think that Bill didn't steal anything because he didn't copy anything from the source code, he just took advantage of this idea and implemented it faster than Apple. This is why I admire Bill Gate, he knew how to break through (pass a barrier or obstacle) to the success all his life, every time that he has an idea he did all the necessary to reach his target.

The programmer and the genie

A programmer is walking along a beach and finds a lamp.  He rubs the lamp, and a genie appears.  “I am the most powerful genie in the world.  I can grant you any wish, but only one wish.” 

The programmer pulls out a map, points to it and says, “I’d want peace in the Middle East.” 

The genie responds, “Gee, I don’t know.  Those people have been fighting for millennia.  I can do just about anything, but this is likely beyond my limits.” 

The programmer then says, “Well, I am a programmer, and my programs have lots of users.  Please make all my users satisfied with my software and let them ask for sensible changes.”

At which point the genie responds, “Um, let me see that map again.”

Importance of English in my future career

I have learned from this course more about grammar and I have improved my abilities to read and to listen, also my vocabulary has improved and in addition to this I have developed self-trust speaking in front of others and this has helped me to make very good friendships with my classmates.

My progress along this course has been very good but not enough to approve the partials exams. I don’t understand the reason of this because before starting this semester, English was not an obstacle for me, it might be because I was stressed this especially because the value of this subject would be reflected in my grade book.

I have to admit, I didn’t make my best in the first partial exam and I failed. But I made a best effort on the second partial exam. I was stressed taking the TOEFL exam, for me the most difficult section was reading. I have learned that to obtain better results on the TOEFL exam it does not require only studying but also having self-trust.   

What I heated most was to read historical articles. I really love to read about technology, but I know I can improve my skills reading more about different subjects.

The skills I learned in this course helped me to be prepared to take the TOEFL exam.

I am on the second part of my career, my career requires English skills. I will continue studying English because it is fundamental to develop international business and also to obtain global knowledge.

One night I had a nightmare, in this dream I was by myself surrounded by strangers, they only spoke English but this wasn’t an obstacle to communicate with them because with my basic English skills was almost enough to communicate with them. I know I will learn the necessary skills to succeed in this situations.

To know English is a very important tool today, I can take advantage from the information of my interests that can be founded in English on the internet.

In the future I would like to work at Google Corp., they have the best job offer for Technologic Engineers. But that requires a good English level.  

For my career is necessary to know English, most of the software the engineers develop is in English.  That is an enough reason to keep learning this language.

I want to end with something for my classmates: I have to say that I had never been so open with classmates, I had a good time with you I just want to say that I will miss you and I don´t want you to have this course any more. Thank You For Being My Friends.

To finish, I want to say this words to my classmates: ‘’ I had never been so open hearted with other classmates. I have had a good time getting to know you, I will miss you. I hope to obtain good grades and not to have to take this class again. Thank You for being my friends.

Comparison between Porfiriato and Present.

1. During the season called “The Porfiriato” the president was reelected several times, contrasting this with the actual laws, there is a ruling law that prohibits this act of reelection. 2. Although the social classes have changed, both season have a lot of contrast among the high, middle and lower classes. 3. In the past the high class was reserved for the friends of the president but now the business men can reach this position class because of their effort. 4. The wealth of the Country, is deposited to a specific sector of people, without being equally distributed to all the country 5. During “The Porfiriato” season, the workplace Violence was almost normal, but now the industrialized world use the people as raw material.

1. The clergy: The church was the economic force of the country. The clergy decided the ways the government should act, their duty was to give keep the faith of their congregation.

2.    The landowners: This was a group of people living on the best economic situation.They had companies or territories where the poor people worked, although they were rich their actions were limited by the clergy.

3. The middle class was integrated by bureaucrats, lawyers and proprietors of little business, so they didn´t have many obligations as citizens, they just dedicated to work.

 4. The majority class: As the name refers, this was the predominant class, it was integrated by the poor people, the farmers and workers. They fought to hardly survive with the money they could earn every day, even that the government abused of their economic situation making them to pay high taxes.  

5. Women had no voice at home, much less on social issues, so it was very difficult for them to gain in social classes.

6. The higher classes owned factories, farms, houses and commercial financial business.

7. The main representatives of the higher classes were scientists, and a group of friends close to the dictator.

 8. Porfirio Díaz, a Mexican soldier, was the president of Mexico for 31 years.

9. The president designate all public officers, members of the Legislative, Judicial and the rulers of the states.

 10. The "Porfirian peace" consisted on the peace that the state guaranteed through repression of any worker manifestation.

Family Tradition (Bad version)

It is well know that every country has its own tradition, but today I want to tell you something more particular about traditions. A family tradition depends on each family behavior, my family´s tradition it´s more common than others because it´s Christmas that is an international tradition, but every family in the world has its own way to celebrate this holiday.

We are four sons in my family, two girls and two boys, but we have been separated since my older brother got married and he went to live in Oaxaca, now my two sisters have been living in Matamoros with my parents and I´ve been living in Puebla since I began the University two years ago , despite that we make an effort travelling to Tamaulipas. It is more difficult to my older brother because he is already married with Mary and they have two beautiful daughters, Amy and Daila.

When we arrive to Tamaulipas the first thing that we do is to hug each other strongly because this is the first day in the year that we see our faces together. Commonly when we travel to Tamaulipas is by car or bus, so it´s a tradition that the first day we didn't want to get sit just to stand up until we rest. Vania and Floreli, my sisters, are very nice that they use to give their rooms to the visits and that´s good for me because since I lived at Puebla I don't have a room in Matamoros.

At the time of cook the dinner for the Christmas all of us help to prepare the food, for example, the women cook the turkey and other thing and the men clean the dishes. At 22 o´clock we began the dinner, the most important thing is pray, once we pray we began to eat, at that time we can chat about the most import thing in the year that is ending, at the end of the dinner we prefer to play any game or just watch a movie.

It´s incredible how just 5 days with your family can reload your strength and encourage you to do your best in the year that begins. Our family always tries to continue in contact along the year but nothing compares to the feel of seeing your family together.
